Hi All,
Yeah its been a while - 8 years!
Our ancestors (parents, grandparents, etc) have had immense knowledge
(given we always tend to agree everything came from our Granthas / Bible / Quran / etc) and
tried hard to regain it by relearning using modern processes and technology.
In this process they have faced and resolved issues around possibilities and capability.
Since we have been brought up watching them, growing around them – our brain tricks
us into identifying those challenges are as real in today’s world as they were
in their (I could cover that in more detail of course on the why or which part
of our brain, but I will not dig into details since this is long enough below 😊).
Take a step back, imagine doing algebraic calculations at
blazing speeds in your mind / implementing a powerful models / auto-learning
algos (Shakuntala Devi
for instance and the recent addition of Om
Dhumal). In the early 2000’s imagine doing manual testing (which was a
serious pain I have personally lived to tell tales of), manual deployment (good
enough for giving development teams nightmares back then) for every piece of now
considered simple code (writing which too was a task worthy of applause – given
the Intellisence was a mess).
Before we go further, please be assured most of those from a
world perspective stand resolved and are underway implementation phase. Let us
put our heart at rest / ease and think for a moment we have our ancestors /
parents to already thank for the birth of machines, robots, AI, and much more
which enable us to do things our previous generations struggled to do everyday.
The major issue we as humans have stood against well in the
past but no so much in recent times (and evidence being closer than ever - 1 cm
right outside our door in the air even) is of education and understanding +
implementation of making the right choices. Choice to do good, choice to do things
to create balance. This is also directly related to what Dr. A.P.J. Kalam said on
multiple occasions – “Where there is righteousness in the heart, there is
beauty in the character. When there is beauty in the character, there is
harmony in the home. When there is harmony in the home, there is order in the
nation. When there is order in the nation, there is peace in the world.”.
Since we are starting to see such quick restoration of world
(which seemed impossible to us an year back), it should do more to spark and motivate
us into making right choices about ourselves, our families and our environment.
I think one of the very important things we can, and definitely need to do as a
controlled step / low hanging fruit for us right now, is make a choice of right
sleep. Having a carefully planned and sleep cycle is one of the fundamental things
we must teach ourselves and our families. This will lead to spreading happiness
and utilizing our time better in this unpresented times.
Also, since work hours are now crazier than ever before
(given most of us start work early and end late), I present to you a scientist’s
thought on the matter - Matt Walker

I got recently encouraged by a great man (yeah you know who
you are) to start and re listen to something I used to listen to 15 years back –
podcasts (which were at that time concentrated on simpler goals – such as the daily
news / radio). Hoping this one would impact you to make right choices like it
has for me.
